Operation Roundup
A program designed by SBEC, Inc. for members to help members.
As a member of the San Bernard Elec. Coop.,Inc. you have a choice of assisting members who need help. These are most often the elderly or disabled member on a fixed income. In some cases a member may have had a crisis situation leaving them without the funds to pay their electric bills. All members will be interviewed by a SBEC employee.
After receiving the members permission, SBEC, Inc. rounds off their bill to the next higher dollar. The difference goes directly to the Operation Roundup Fund. All the money from this fund helps members who qualify as a needy member. All proceeds go to the membership only.

The interviewer will need to know the members' total income, sources of income, disabled, documentation of disability, is this an emergency crisis, documentation of proof for the crisis, age, how many live in household. Funds are distributed fairly and appropriately according to the guidelines set forth by SBEC, Inc., without regard to race, national origin, age, physical handicap, religion, or religious practices and lifestyle.
